Elliott Sadler

Success is in Elliott Sadler’s DNA because he comes from a celebrated racing family. He climbed into his first go-kart at age seven, and by age 18 he was a standout in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series. That led to his debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 1997.

In 1999, the Wood Brothers signed Sadler to his first full-time NASCAR Cup Series ride. Their first victory together came in 2001 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Elliott’s 75th career start.

In 2003, Elliott moved to Robert Yates Racing (RYR), where he enjoyed two Bud Poles at Darlington and Talladega. His breakout season came in 2004, when he won the outside pole for the Daytona 500 and notched impressive wins at Texas Motor Speedway and California Speedway. In 2005, Elliott clinched four pole positions, including the starting spot at the prestigious Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The following year, Elliott made the move to Gillett Evernham Motorsports and posted two Top 10 finishes. In 2007, he finished a strong sixth at the Daytona 500.

Elliott is now teamed with racing legend Richard Petty. He’ll drive the Hunt Brothers® Pizza #19 Ford Fusion in six exciting races for Richard Petty Motorsports this season. Elliott is a perfect fit for the Hunt Brothers team for many reasons: he LOVES their pepperoni pizza and Hot ’n Spicy wings — and his family serves up Hunt Brothers products at their Slip-In Market convenience stores in Virginia.
